Two Year Degree:
Associate in Science (Total Credits - 61)
The Associate in Science degree is designed to prepare the student with all the ratings necessary to be qualified for entry-level jobs in the aviation field. Receiving an Associate degree helps the graduate be prepared for a diversity of job related responsibilities, will provide the student with a diversity of classes to provide a broad base for future possibilities, and prepare the student for the B.S. degree.
Associate in Applied Science (Total Credits - 65)
The Associate in Applied Science degree prepares the student by requiring the same aviation courses as the Associate in Science. This degree only requires the minimum of general education courses to qualify for graduation and also qualifies the student to matriculate into the B.S. Degree.
Four Year Degrees:
Bachelor of Science Professional Pilot (Total Credits - 120)
The B.S. degree will prepare the students to enter the work force as a professional pilot at an intermediate to advanced level. The program builds upon the A.A.S. and A.S. degrees offered by UVSC in Aviation Science. Specific course work designed to help the intermediate pilot receive the training necessary to be qualified for employment with a commuter airline will be covered. Students gain additional ratings, such as Airline Transport Pilot and a jet type rating. The program consists of 45 semester hours of lower division courses (which include requirements for the A.A.S. in Aviation Science), 39 hours of general education, and 40 hours of upper division Professional Pilot courses.
Bachelor of Science Aviation Administration (Total Credits - 120)
The BS degree in Aviation Administration will prepare the student to enter the workforce in an aviation administration capacity. This program also builds upon the A.A.S. and A.S. degrees offered by UVSC in Aviation Science. The Aviation Administration course work covered in this curriculum is designed to prepare the student for the challenging and rewarding career of Aviation Administration.
