Overview: The Instrument Rating Course is an optional but highly suggested step in process of becoming a professional airplane pilot. Successful completion of this course will mean you will have an instrument rating added to your Private or Commercial Certificate. This training teaches you to fly by sole reference to the instruments in the cockpit. Enrollment Prerequisites: The student must have a valid Private Pilot Certificate and a 3rd Class Medical prior to beginning flight training. Aircraft: The Cessna 172, Diamond 20, and Diamond 40 are the aircraft utilized for this rating. Ground Training
