Overview: The Private Pilot Course is the first step in process of becoming a professional helicopter pilot. This certificate allows you to carry passengers, but you will not be able to fly for compensation or hire without further training and certification.
Enrollment Prerequisites: The student must have a valid student pilot certificate and a current 3rd class medical prior to beginning flight training (although, a 2nd class medical is recommended).
Aircraft: The Robinson R-22 Beta II is typically used at this level of training. For safety reasons, US Flight Academy has implemented a pilot weight restriction of 210 lbs. The Robinson R-44 can be substituted to complete the Private Pilot Training at an additional cost.
